第１４６回MIFA Chat Salonのご案内

皆さま、こんにちは。
２０２５年１2月のMIFA Chat Salon開催のご案内です。
１2月はヨーロッパを起点に活躍中のサロンの昔の仲間、高橋さんによる「Scotland and Flanders」というテーマのショートスピーチがあります。ScotlandとベルギーFlanders地方の興味深い文化や歴史などが紹介されます。お楽しみに。

6月よりMIFA CHAT SALONのご案内は都合によりメールでの配信を中止し、ブログ、FBに掲載しております。是非皆様のお知り合いとご一緒にお越しください！

    1. 日時：２０２５年１2月6日(土）１０：００‐１2:00 　
※Chatの時間を最大限確保するため、早めに受付にお越しください。 
２回のセッションを実施しテーブルが変わります。受付時、赤黒２枚の番号札をお受け取り下さい。12月は参加スタッフに限りがあり、コーディネーターは配置いたしません。テーブル毎にリーダーを決めて進めてください。

        2) Short Speech: By Takahashi San “Scotland and Flanders”

        “Events you like during the year-end and New Year Holiday season”
        4) 各テーブルにコーディネーターを設けます。参加者の皆様は、English only の環境で会話を楽しみましょう。政治、宗教等の話題は自粛しましょう。 

    4．感染対策-コロナ、インフルエンザは依然脅威です。以下ご協力をお願いします。
  (1) マスクの着用、不着用は個人の判断にお任せいたします。 
  (2) 入室時の手指消毒にご協力ください。
  (3) 症状がある方は参加をお控え下さい。

11月のChat Salonでは、Sylviaさんが「Festivals in Germany」というテーマでショートスピーチをしてくださいました。ドイツの伝統的な祭りや、Sylviaさんの地元・デュッセルドルフで行われるイベントについて、写真とともに楽しく紹介していただきました。普段なかなか聞くことのできないドイツの文化の一面に、皆さん興味津々の様子でした。

その後のチャットセッションでは、参加者の皆さんがリラックスした雰囲気の中で英語での交流を楽しまれていました。
また、今回は特別企画として、軽食を囲んだランチセッションも開催。立食パーティーのようなにぎやかな雰囲気の中で、普段よりもゆっくりとお話しできる時間となりました。

    This month, we welcomed Sylvia-san who gave us a wonderful talk about the many kinds of Matsuri (festivals) in her country—ranging from well-known ones like New Year’s Eve, Christmas, Carnival, Easter, and the famous Oktoberfest, to a special local event from her hometown, Düsseldorf’s Japan Day. It was fascinating to hear about how these celebrations bring people together across the seasons. I was personally surprised to learn that in Germany, New Year’s is often celebrated with friends rather than family, and that Carnival takes place in the middle of winter, quite the opposite of what I experience in Brazil!

    After Sylvia-san’s talk, we moved into our usual English chat sessions. As always, participants gathered in small groups, and conversations flowed easily and people shared their thoughts, experiences, and plenty of smiles throughout the discussions.

    This month also had a special addition: a cheerful Lunch Party! Onigiri and sandwiches were served, and everyone enjoyed the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Following lunch, we held a Japan Culture Quiz, and to top it off, many participants wore Halloween hats and accessories, adding a festive touch to the day.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the start of November, especially as the long summer finally gives way to the pleasant autumn breeze in Japan. Thank you to everyone who joined and made this month’s salon such a joyful and memorable event!
